A metal net of the front is attached to breeding box sold in Japan. The net can become birds that it is in danger. The foot of birds can be caught between the net. I do not use the net. I make the net with wood and sticks of bamboo. They are easy to fit natural materials. And there become a few shocks for their body, too. I can attach heater to the upward frame which it passed sideways. This is the hospital cage if I attach it. There is a sliding door behind nest. It is a door to confirm their egg not to excite birds. I hold an electricity code of the heater out from the door. Breeding box of photograph's size is for Gouldian Finch. This size is minimally necessary.

The bait which I use is not threshed. Threshed grain gives stress to finch. The body of finch demands that they peel grain. Threshed grain does not have embryo. There is a little nutrition. And mold is easy to occur.

Please check the body of Timor sparrow which you got. Perhaps they will get thinner. They were wild birds. And they are tired by long transportation time. When I got them, muscle of their chest got very much thinner. I gave bait to give usually, bait for canary, bait for dove, egg food and wofoxtail millet. Bait for canary is very effective for this case. I give it to them so long as birds do not gain. Foxtail millet promotes their sexual excitement. I pay attention to giving it.

Timor Sparrow is the species that metabolism is heavy. They lose energy in a moment that energy is not enough to bait. Even if there is too much energy to bait, it is wrong. Bait is difficult. Please pay attention to bait.

I give greens every day. There are fantastic greens of KOMATSUNA in Japan. It is greens letting me think that there is KOMATSUNA for the bird. This has calcium and vitamin abundantly and hardly has harshness. And We can cultivate it with flowerpot. It of a no pesticide is sold smartly, too. Pesticide often gives serious problem to birds. I offer Qing gin cai.(Brassica chinensis L)

I give oyster shell. Oyster shell is mineral feed. However, most of available oyster shell are soiled very much. Please try to wash a few oyster shell with water for trial. The water will seem to be the Yellow River. I wash oyster shell by running water. If water became clear, I put them up to a bamboo strainer. I dry and disinfect them by the sun between half day . And I let them dry by a frying pan. Or I use a microwave oven. My birds like washed oyster shell more.

I pay attention to always give fresh bait.
I give cuttlefish. They eat this hard. I remove salt of cuttlefish by all means.
Germination seed is the bait which is effective in the time of molting. I soak the bait which is not threshed by tepid water. They germinate after a few days. However, we must change the water to get up for six hours. Germinating seed makes the toxin. More I take them out because the seed which does not germinate rots.

Timor Sparrow is originally the wild bird. Therefore they need considerably a lot of exercise. Environment to be the best in order to keep them will be aviary. However, I cannot have aviary by a Japanese housing situation. More Timor Sparrow may be hard to breed if we keep them in aviary. My friend keeps them in aviary. I think it with comfortable environment for them very much. However, as a result, it is not good. It is a fantastic result in purpose to keep their health. Naturalizaring seem to be related.
I devise their management. I do freed birds in my rooms every day in fixed time. I do it every day besides busy day. However, you must not do freed bird of the bird which does not fit person and environment. At first you must let them feel relieved. While I do freed bird, they play freely and fall in love.
It is easy to come to find their mate. Please devise the arrangement of perch. I do the arrangement that upward perch and downward perch seem to cross plumb. As a result the quantity of exercise of birds becomes several times.

We must pay attention to temperature and the humidity for one year after getting them. We must let them naturalizar in current environment. I keep minimum 20 degrees Centigrade. It is 32 degrees Centigrade with the highest temperature. I turn the humidity into 50%. There is case to cause dyspnea when the humidity exceeds 60%. This is not limited to Timor Sparrow. The birds that they had trouble of liver are the same. We can feel relieved for the birds which fitted environment enough more.
I always manage them with digital thermometer and hygrometer. A sense of person is vague. I suggest that we use them.

Judgment of gender of Timor sparrow is the same as java sparrow. I judge it by size of their beak. Cock sings and dances. If they fitted environment, they will do the action at once.
