Japanese bird magazine
I am suspending the publishment for busyness currently

I wrote a column with a Japanese bird magazine occasionally. They are about timor sparrow. A name of the magazine says All Birds. It is an only bird specialty magazine in Japan.
A lot of people came to visit it from overseas to my site. The chief of editing was interested in the thing. Therefore I was to publish a column serially from a magazine of January, 2002 publication. It introduces foreign bird site to a Japanese.
The column is written in Japanese, but I translate it into English and pick it up here.
If there is site of recommendation, please teach it.

Foreign bird site

Internet spreads rapidly, and site about a lot of birds exists there currently. Most of site of a Japanese bird are love bird pride. For it, site of a foreign bird is an exhibition of breeding and breeding information and a place of information exchange. In addition, it is impressive that an establishment person and the visitor demand information about bird by sincere posture. I recommend that foreign site is visited in addition to Japanese site if there is it in environment to connect with Internet. It can be got the hint that you do not seem to hit on from a viewpoint of a Japanese.

Parrots'n'sparrows (http://finchrainbow.curvedspaces.com/)
Site of parrot, finch by Mr.Umar Draz of a Pakistani

It is site of Pakistani bird keeper to a Japanese without much familiarity. Besides a breeding method different from a Japanese, Contents summarized systematically in every various kind are all splendid, and is very plain. Site design is splendid, and evaluation is high with the contents. It is the site that it watches it, and become pleasant.

Mr.Umar breeds budgerigar, love bird , cocktail, java sparrow, zebra finch, society finch, black-headed nun etc. mainly. He attaches great importance to quality of each individual than breeding a lot of birds. Therefore We understand that his breeding method is very polite, and always pays attention to each individual. A way of thinking for his bird is "A person breeding a bird is not good in ignorance". It is written down on a top page. It is a way of thinking that it can sympathize with very much. Explanation about each kind, male and female distinction, breeding method and the attention etc. are written down finely. It is written down which kind is suited for a beginner, and it is it in the contents which are plain with a person without having still bred a bird. The Internet developed with a purpose of distributed database. Can say that his site is the site where is fit for an original purpose in such a meaning. It is site With very utility value. Some of an introduced kind can hear the song by a sound. It is song of java sparrow that is interesting. It is natural that a cry of a bird is different by an area, but is known with "ho-hokyekyo" when a Japanese hears song of a male of java sparrow. Ho-hokyekyo and a calling paddybird are introduced occasionally in Japan, but are known farther than it as the cry that seems to "be a bush warbler." I have confirmed it when I heard it for the first time whether was really song of java sparrow.

An explanatory note
A bush warbler is got very much close to in Japan. A Japanese has special friendly feeling for a song of a bush warbler. There is bird keeper to train to a bird of oneself to let you imitate a song of a bush warbler. They are introduced on TV occasionally.

allbirds
We can watch a photograph of each seed and fame, notation with Urdu language by explanation about bait and are interesting. As for the part of Urdu language notation, it is displayed an image. It is considered to be able to look at even a browser for all languages. In addition, it is introduced when he mix cod-liver fish oil with bait and give it as interesting feed in the breeding seasons etc. He seems to give improvement of a breeding grade and cold measures of winter as a purpose. It is explained finely, and combination rate of bait for a kind of a bird , sprouted seeds, the recipe of an egg hood are plain, too.
It is a page about a nest that feel that I am the most interesting in his site. Three kinds of nests are introduced. A nest made with unglazed clay called Cray pot watches for the first time inside in his site. It does a pot type, but it is not used like a Japanese pot nest. As for the nest, a bird comes to go in and out of the hole which opened out on the side. This shape seems to be suited very much in Pakistan where temperature is high, and the humidity is low. The price seems to be an amount of money that it is easy to obtain at the actual place by around 20 yen by Japanese Yen. It is a nest used most currently in Pakistan. It is very fresh to the Japanese who has remembered straw and a tree when I say a nest. He sent a photograph of each nest and detailed explanation when I asked Umar about a nest the other day. When it introduced the photograph temporarily in my japanese site, it was Cray pot that attracted interest of a Japanese. If explanation can cry that it is used as a nest of a bird, a Japanese may not understand it whether it is used in anything. It is explained a hideout knit with bamboo and a box nest elsewhere. The box nest seems to have been taken in by West European countries. It does not seem to be the mainstream yet, but Umar uses it willingly.
WE can go to site of bird keeper other than Pakistan in addition to site of West European countries from his site. We can contact some local bird keeper which do not have site. He thinks that many of Pakistani excellent bird keeper do not have a means of information exchange in Internet. He offer a seat of information exchange with bird keeper which had with him and a different way of thinking, knowledge.
Umar is a very positive person. He always reviews a breeding method of oneself and does an effort to improve. In addition, he understands consequence of collecting information very much. Pakistan is a climate that temperature is high, and the humidity is low. Lahore which he particularly lives is famous as the area where temperature is high. It was bought advice me by him that a young bird of java sparrow did not grow up because of the climate well. He was not able to advise me when I heard what he tested with variety already, the thing that I was going to test from now on. I really respect it in the positive posture. He seems to be a good father, a husband in home at the same time to be excellent bird keeper. A photograph of his two son is carried to site. They seem to be interested in what Umar who is a father does. They seem to have asked him to make a page of oneself. It is very pretty boys. In addition, he is good at that he makes cooking for his wife . The cooking that he teaches seems to be very delicious. He taught the curry and rice which put yogurt and an onion, the fried chicken in the other day. Because it seemed to be too delicious, I have made just curry on the next day.
Will be for a thing by personality of Umar to be big in addition to the excellence of site. A guest book in his site can watch an entry of always a lot of bird keepers. A guest book does a role as a list of bird keeper in foreign site. I am not about to watch a guest book entered on lively like his site very much. If you accessed his site, you access a right or wrong guest book and want you to register.
